Academic Excellence

A tradition of academic excellence

St. Paul the Apostle School provides your child with a learning environment that cultivates academic achievement. Teachers are passionate about the subjects they teach and are wholly invested in the success of their students. High academic standards challenge students to expect great things of themselves – our teachers, with the support of the entire St. Paul community, work hard to assure that they reach their goals.

  • Our Junior High Program consistently ranks among the highest in the Grand Rapids Diocese based on Iowa Testing and MEAP results.
  • St. Paul graduates are well prepared to excel in high school. Nearly 100% of St. Paul’s students continue their journey of faith and education at nearby Catholic Central High School; most qualify for Honors and Advanced Placement courses.
  • Our Science Olympiad teams have been highly successful and have twice qualified for State competition. In 2008 we placed 32nd out of 464 teams at Michigan State University.
  • Education Fair projects feature every grade; Junior High students tackle months of research, comprehensive written reports, graphic displays and oral presentations in preparation for the even more rigorous challenges of high school.
  • We support growth in mind and body with a dedicated science lab, technology room, resource room, performing arts rooms, library and gymnasium.
