Art

Kindergarten through Grade Eight
Children have an inherent need to experience the visual arts and to use artistic creation for personal expression and social communication. Through this process the children will develop the life long skills of problem solving, decision making, cooperation, learning and creative thinking.

Art is taught to students in grades 1-8, once a week by a Grand Rapids Public Time Share teacher with a goal for our students to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes ncessary to:

• Create unique art work
• Appreciate art work
• Understand art theory
• Evaluate art work
