Art Curriculum

Kindergarten through Grade Eight

Children have an inherent need to experience the visual arts and to use artistic creation for personal expression and social communication. Through this process the children will develop the life long skills of problem solving, decision making, cooperation, learning and creative thinking.

Program Goal: With guidance from Time Share art teachers from Grand Rapids Public Schools our students will develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to:

• Create unique art work
• Appreciate art work
• Understand art theory
• Evaluate art work
