In honor of September 11th

Children’s book illustrator Michael G. Monroe visited St. Paul for an art assembly. He is the illustrator of 15 children’s books including; “M is for Mitten”, “A is for Art”, and his newest “The Wishing Tree”. “The Sharing Tree” was an ARTPRIZE contender stationed at Catholic Central.

Laura Velasquez, Meteorologist for WoodTV8, helped SPA celebrate “March is Reading Month” by reading to Kindergarten, First and Second Grade students.

“Crash the River Rascal” Whitecaps Mascot also came to celebrate reading and was treated to a St. Paul baseball hat by one of his fans.

2nd Graders put together 178 Easter baskets for God’s Kitchen and the St. Paul Food Pantry
