SCRIP

Scrip is fundraising while you shop. Our program allows you, and other St. Paul families, to purchase gift cards for everyday purchases like food, clothing, gas, and home improvement, while earning a percentage of every dollar of gift cards purchased back in a rebate, which can be applied to your tuition!

With this program there’s no need to send your children door to door soliciting your neighbors and friends to buy candy and wrapping paper that they don’t really want, or can buy for less elsewhere. Scrip is no selling- fundraising that lasts throughout the year.

The reason for the effectiveness of scrip is simple: you generate revenue through purchases you would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline, can be purchased with scrip. An organization of 150 families easily spends between one and two million dollars per year on food, clothing and other essentials. If these families use scrip for these purchases, they can raise as much as $40,000 to $80,000 per year for their tuition—without spending an additional penny!

This fall, we are overhauling the fundraising program to make it even easier for families to earn credit toward your tuition payments at St. Paul or Catholic Central High School, local products like Meijer, Schulers and Culvers have been added. Plus you will have the convenience of easy ordering every morning on school days at the Scrip to Go sale, and access to the complete offering of retailers on ShopWithScrip.com.

How Does it Work at St. Paul’s, and How Can I Sign Up?
PLACING AN ORDER
You can buy your scrip two ways. Firstly, you can buy from our inventory of gift cards, and these Scrip To Go sales will be available in the kitchen from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. on school days. Just stop by and pick up what you need! The second way to purchase scrip is with ShopWithScrip.com, Great Lakes Scrip Center’s online shopping website. Once you set up your free account on ShopWithScrip using our enrollment code 169EA7CC2324, you’ll be able to order from the complete list of products, including ScripNow!, downloadable eCards, and card reloads. If you order on ShopWithScrip and pay online using PrestoPay, or drop off your check at the Scrip To Go Sale by 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, your scrip will be available that same afternoon!

TURNING IN YOUR CHECK
In order for the correct tuition accounts to be credited, all checks of family and friends who order SCRIP for your benefit must have your family name written in the memo area of the check. During the School Year Checks can be dropped off at the Scrip to Go Sale by 8:30 am, or may be placed in the SCRIP safe after all weekend Liturgies. (The SCRIP safe is located in the usher’s closet near the gym on the east side of the church. Do not place checks in the safe on Monday mornings, checks must be in the school office by 8:00 a.m. Please keep in mind the parish office is closed on Fridays during the summer. You may also sign up at http://www.shopwithscrip.com for PrestoPay, so that your payment is made electronically from your checking account.

PICK-UP
During the School Year SCRIP can be picked up in the school kitchen window in the afternoon from 2:30 until 3:00 pm. Families may also opt to sign a pick-up waiver upon which they may designate a student to bring home their filled orders. Lost or stolen SCRIP is the sole responsibility of the family. The School or parish will not replace lost or stolen SCRIP. Note that the school office will not check or verify your order before sending it home with your designee.

New orders, placed by 8:30 am will be available that day from 2:30 – 3:00 pm. All orders placed on ShopWithScrip.com and paid for by 8:30 a.m. on school days will be available that same afternoon. If you pay by a check made out to St. Paul the Apostle, your payment must be submitted to the Scrip To Go Table between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. You can also pay online with PrestoPay, and your payment will be received automatically. You will be able to pick up your order in the school, or sign a permission form to allow us to send your order home with your student on school days.

At this time, we are going to try to pass out all SCRIP orders during the week to avoid the need for volunteers to pass out SCRIP on the weekends (checks must be turned in to the SCRIP safe directly on weekends). If you are unavailable to pick up your SCRIP during the school week, please let us know, and we will find an alternate way to get your SCRIP to you.
